Whenever a video "auto plays," I leave that page INSTANTLY.  INSTANTLY INSTANTLY INSTANTLY.  I don't read another word. I click the x on the tab. I know clicks are probably more important than actually content (medium is the message, still). But just in case there are a few people out there who still care about content.... NEVER USE AUTOPLAY.  In fact, don't use videos or flash at all.
